I'm going to be up in PA at the end of August/beginning of September and am thinking about trying to get some climbing in. I realize the weather might still be pretty hot by then, so places in the shade are much appreciated. I'll also be flying and unable to bring much in the way of gear, so a bouldering spot would be good - I can borrow some old gym mats from someone for a makeshift crash pad.

I'll be spending about a week around the King of Prussia/Pottstown area, and another week or so camping in the Lake Aldred section of the Susquehanna river (that's the section between Safe Harbor and Holtwood dams), so anything close to those two spots would be great.

For sport climbing try Birdsboro (45 minutes north/west of KOP). For trad, try the gunks!

For bouldering try green lane.

For TRing go to Chickies Rock in lancaster area (it's right on the Susquehanna).

PM me if you want more detail
