I'm going to be in the area during early January on business, and can maybe stretch the trip out a bit for some sort of winter climbing. I live in Florida, and would like to give ice climbing a go. Are there any ice climbing guides, facilities, classes, courses etc. available there in the Adirondacks? Thanks!

Maybe this will help you out.http://www.mountaineer.com/mountainfest/mountainfest12.htm [url/] You can also check out Rock and River if you need somewhere to stay (that's where they give the gear demos for the icefest) but they might be booked up. Definitely worth looking into.
