I know that the new book is going to come out at some point, but because its delayed at the printer's, does anyone have any rumbling bald bouldering topos or handwritten guides that they could send me, post, or give me the link. I've been to bald, and know how to get to the boulder field, but just don't know where to begin...thanks! -Phil

A new post, by the author of the new guidebook, on both the SEC and the CCC website says the release date is Jan 1, so not too much longer to get the "good" beta, I hope. There was an old magazine article that is floating around that has the classics from the main boulderfield that most people climb in. It is barely understandable and unless you have someone that can give you a few routes as a reference, it may not be of much use to you. Just keep climbing and exploring for one more month and then the 900 route guide will be available. BC

I'll be in NC for the holidays and was hoping to make it down to the bald. I've never been there and was also wondering if anyone wanted to share directions and atleast some problems to get me started - some good warmups and then some easy moderates would be great.
