I went to this new age yoga place last year when I was trying to get back to being physical. I told them all about my accident and they started listing off all sorts of foods that I should have been eating to help myself heal.
The one thing they kept stressing: cartilage.
Easiest source: the parts of chicken no one wants to eat.
No, I never did incorporate that into my diet.

I eat the core of apples. Everything but the stem.
I believe that there are small amounts of cyanide in apple seeds, though. Often, the poison used to off European royalty in the Middle Ages was made from rendered-down apple seeds.
I've also heard of homeopathic treatments for cancer that involve eating the insides of peach and apricot pits, which contain similar poisons.

One of our exercises: speed climbing when you have to bite an apple hanging on top of the route and spit out the chunk. The timer is stopped when the piece hits the ground (or spectator's head).

Well, that's why you smoke a cigarette with every apple you eat... which brings me to another point: What about the apple bong/ pipe? Granted, you lose a certain amount of apple to modifications, but the benefits of the pairing should offset the losses.
