It's been years since I hiked rag, but it made an enough of an impression on me that as soon as i started climbing... Old Rag was #1 on my list of destinations to hit. Long story short, I'm in Afghanistan right now, coming home in the spring for R+R and me and some buddies are finally getting our shit strait to make a trip out. Problem being, it's been years since most of us hiked it, and none of us have been up there with the intent rock reconning. So If anyone has any information on the best guidebooks to go with, routes to hit, people to talk to, or out fo the ordinary gear to bring regarding Old Rag, it'd be a tremendous help. Thanks all!

I've been up there a lot in the past 18 months. The falcon guide is good. I could help more if you like. Steve steve.curtis@us.af.mil
