I had the old ADK guidebook, and thought it was great, albeit vague. The new book is 10,000 times more detailed and useful. My question is, do you feel that the book will have a negative impact in the sense the "wilderness" climbing experience is now more accesible to the masses? I don't think the areas with a 3 hour approach will ever see the crowds that the Gunks do, but they will certaintly see more traffic. I liken the effect to that of Backpacking Magazines "Top Ten Secret Spots" articles. After the article is published the spots aren't so "secret" anymore.
