I printed the route guide out and was reading about all the different routes. What kind of protection do I need to bring to do all the routes? My friend and I have really gotten into climbing and have a good amount of gear but have not gotten into buying protection. We are really into lead climbing so what protection do we need to lead climb here?

No not really looking for placement by placement but didnt want to buy a large set if we didnt have to yet. We wanted to build it up slow due to the price of the gear and everything else in life right now. But sounds like we might just have to do it that way. Thank for the info

theres alot of sport stuff there, so you can get away with some quickdraws (about 10). Theres also some trad stuff (where you are placing protection) which you obviously dont know how to do properly so you need to find someone to teach you. if you want to lead, stick to sport for now until you find someone who knows what they are doing.

Just pick up a set of quickdraws and a rope. 90% of whats commonly climbed is fully bolted, you wont have any problems without a trad rack. Top ropes are crazy easy to set up also so really all you need it TR gear but if you wanna lead, quickdraws will do.

You Need gear, or really big balls on the main wall, and the first two pillars have good bolts, last pillar has good trad rout, no anchors.
