jason's the man. he's just being himself. dolls arent my thing, but whatever. the guy travels around the world, sometimes living out of his van, and hes cleaning and sending the biggest, baddest, and scariest problems around. id like to meet the guy. and if i climbed V12, i would like to climb w/ him. hes a much more interesting character than your average college frat boy, dirtrbag hippie, or 30 something dad.

Cked out the site. Personal friend of one of the women that is featured in the Peru photos. Good kid and did my first desert tower with her a lot of years ago. Knew she went on a trip there but didn't know about the photos. Will get her email and ask about Jason.

Hey- yeah, Jason has a funny haircut and likes to wear a lot of black, but he's one of the most real, down-to-earth people I've ever had the pleasure of being friends with. Surviving as a "vagabond" on the salary of a pro climber means you have to market yourself. just by you asking about him and wondering these things generates the exposure he needs to keep his sponsorships. Sponsors not only want someone who can climb hard, but who can be recognizable to the climbing public. He's a great guy, good friend, amazing climber, and also a gifted artist. we should over look the fucked up haircut and embrace what he's done for our industry. thanks. @

I met him last summer at Rumney and he was super nice to talk to. It's funny that people think he's weird but have no issues with dave graham being a complete spaz on video and sharma being a stoned out hippy

Yeah, I ran into him at some sort of gym tour event a while back, and when he wasn't manning the table full of so ill gear, he seemed like a normal dude with a funny haircut. He was walkin around shootin' the shit and talking with everyone. If you didn't watch him crushing hard boulder problems, and didn't read the mags, you'd have no idea he was a pro climber... he just came across as a dude hanging out at a gym. The doll thing is a little creepy though...

more creepy than people who kill animals and then put their heads on their wall? or more creepy than guys who collect action figures... it's a hobby.. doesn't hurt anyone. i don't find it creepy.

I would say a similar level of creepiness... On the other hand, there's something very satisfying about looking your dinner in its artificial glass eyes while you wash it down with a cold coors light.

I asked him about the doll thing once and he just shrugged it off as a kind of joke. He thinks it's funny and a little weird, but as everyone has said he is super nice!
