Just wondering if anyone would be down to show me some routes in J-Tree. I will be there Oct.25-29. Would be nice to know so I can pack appropriately. Hope to hear from someone.

By the way, I am looking to do routes between 5.9-5.11 and maybe a couple 12's. Also, I have never used the internet to meet anyone, so I don't know how this works exactly.

If my experiance is anything to go by, first you get shocked at them being 40 instead of 18, male instead of female, and not so innocent and needy as their profile made out.
Then there's a faint smell of solvents, then you wake up in a ditch off the I95 with a headache and shit all over your jeans, which seem to be a little crispier then usual.
The next few days are spent waddling about trying to hitch a lift.
If you're REALLY unlucky, the part following the solvent smell is repeated at this point, except this time you remember all the nitty-gritty details.
All in all? I don't think the cost of psychotherapy is worth saving the money from buying a guidebook. Just PMing any cool sounding people from the area who seem to post a lot on threads concerning J tree might work, too.
Bring beer and *cough* for added chance of finding someone.

some general info here:
http://www.rockclimbing.com/...onal_Park_Overview_/

for climbing partners, post in the West Coast Partners Forum too. you'll probably get a mix of responses. if you've climbed for a while, should know how to filter out the sketch jobs, and to give some indications that you're not one of those

if you're flexible from 5.9 to 5.12, you shouldn't have problems finding someone to climb with just by checking the bulletin boards and walking around the campground, like at Hidden Valley. your dates start on a saturday. getting a campsite at HV might be more of an issue. end of Oct is about when the JTree campgrounds start to get packed. try to get there on a weekday, if your dates aren't all set yet

hope that helps
