After driving up every side road in to the hills off of 239 south of Mocanaqua, I thought I'd post more accurate directions to the Mail Wall area.
After crossing the bridge in Shickshinny (off of 11), follow 239 into Mocanaqua. Where 239 makes a 90 turn to the right, GO STRAIGHT! (don't follow 239). The parking area is up a mile or so (just a guess) on the left immediately off the road before the "s turns". The lot only holds a few cars. The trail is immediately on the right of the little parking lot. The Main Wall cliff parallels the road here and is quite close to the road, but nicely screened by the trees.
In my understanding, this is a completely different parking area (but only a few miles away) from the Library and Paradise areas.
Please correct me if I am wrong!
However, I was also told that there is climbing down by Wapwallopen, which IS down 239 a few miles. There is plenty of crubling exposed rock, but I havn't yet found a climbing area there. Does anyone know of a specific climbing area closer to wapwallopen?
