ANyone know what's going on with the Rancho Cerro Gordo these days? I've heard it's open - does anyone know if there's a new website?

How about other campgrounds reccomendations? Am open to suggestions....

I stayed at La Posada, and it was great! I stayed in one of the little rooms, (not that much more than camping), but there is camping there. Nice community kitchen, and the staff are all really friendly :)

Cerro Gordo is open, as is La Posada, El Rincon, La Pagoda, Las Azuzenas and Chon's. Even if you come at the height of the high season, i.e. around New Years, you will have no trouble finding a decent place to camp. On the other hand, if you want a private house or room with bath it would be best to pm me and I can set something up for you.
