I need a new regular climbing partner. I can sport climb 5.6-5.7 depending on the route. I can trad nothing harder than 5.5 depending on the route. I'm new to trad, and would like more experience on both trad and sport. I am interested in doing multi-pitch climbing within the next two years or so. I'd like to see more of the US in terms of climbing: Vedauwoo, Moab, HCR, The New, Gunks, the North Shore, Black Hills. I wanna climb it all. I top rope about 5.8/5.9. What I'm looking for: -high regard for safety. -humble. -climbs hard. -ambitious and motivated with climbing. -enjoys other outdoor activities (backpacking, camping, kayaking, ice climbing, mountaineering) -Is willing to travel. -laid back -open minded -willingness to learn. -can show respect for other climbers. -is more about the climbing than the gear. -can sport 5.9 or higher -can trad 5.9 or higher -can set top rope anchors -has a set of cams (not necessary but ideal. -can encourage me in my climbing (without encouraging arrogance) -preferably someone in IA, MN, western IL, or southeast WI.

I forgot to tell you what I climb, I do not sport climb much anymore I am more of a trad climber but I can climb well into the 5.10s and sometimes 5.11s, the people that I normally climb with are not about numbers or how many routes you can put out in a weekend but what you learn that that you have a safe fun time doing it. That is what I like about climbing.
