I was wondering if having a 70 meter rope in Yosemite is worth the extra bit of weight and trouble at belays? Any routes (or rappells) that a 70 meter is especially useful on?

I can think of some aid lines where a longer rope is useful for linking pitches, but I can't say the same for free climbs. Still, a 70m rope is required for many, modern sport climbs near Yosemite. So unless you have a dedicated "Valley cord", I'd go with a 70m. It's more versatile.

Yosemite climbs are fairly old school. I doubt a 70m would be useful.
