This may seem a silly question. But as I've not yet climbed there and aim to at the time posted. Is the weather likely to be pretty accurate for warm, nice. Or is it unpredictable?\ Also is it about 3 hrs drive from Vancouver?

April/May should be pretty nice by then. It's the interior so it's a lot hotter at that time. I went in June and was roasting in 30-35C weather everyday. Loved it. The drive is about 5 hours. Take coquihalla as you don't have to pay tolls anymore and although it is a few km longer than Hwy 5, you can go faster and it's much easier.

As I thought weather wise, it's kind of what I'd heard before now. But felt it would be worth checking again. Thank you too for that feedback regarding the time it takes to drive there and the route to take, will take that advice for sure.
