Trying to take the friends to new locations. Does anyone know if the dome is clear of snow yet ? Thanks In Advance Josh

It probably isn't clear of snow yet, but even if it were, it won't be climbable as it takes quite a while to dry out. (It was snowing in Portland this morning which is at a much lower elevation.)

yeah, theres gonna be a lot of snow up there still. if your looking for something new in the portland area (I don't know what you've climbed) try: rocky butte, broughton bluff, or oregon city (waterboard city park, It'll have to be dry for a few days before its climbable).

True true, goid point. Thanks ! I called the zigzag ranger district and they said that the best time would be late april to october.

Oh man - I saw this thread out of the corner of my eye and I thought it said "Frenches Dome clear cut" and I just about had a heart attack. Glad it's just snow.

You can also try Ozone (on the Washington side of the Columbia).
