Last time I was there was in early summer and we stayed at the reservoir camp ground. It appears that it does not offically open till 5/25--what is the situation with this camp ground (ie can we stay there even though it is not open offically, or others around Joes. Any info would be a great help.

I was just there last week. There are 5 campsites at the reservoir campground that stay open all year, the gate to the other spots is locked. The bathrooms are unlocked but the water is shut off. Most folks stay at the campsites along the road, but its a great place if you want a little privacy.
