they have a lot of really funny videos. my current favorite after 'pregnant women are smug' is 'my self esteem's not low enough to date you.'

he he he From a woman who's at prime child bearing age, has no interest in having children herself, but suffers through photo after photo of people's baby bumps and baby photos on facebook......I'm going to have to thanks you Christina. The baby thing gets old after a while (sorry to all those ladies with babies, but I think this is the thread for the anti-baby women after all). Now, to see about posting that video on facebook.....

Anxiously awaiting the preggers clausti like an insufferable grandparent. I then further intend to torment "clamhead jr." with stores from back-in-the-day before his/her parents met, with a highly overblown emphasis on the minor role I may have played in that eventuality. Curt

I can't put my finger on what makes it so, b/c there isn't any real likeness. Maybe it's b/c I first heard the song in clausti's interpretation, and she was trying to mimic the girl when she was doing it. And yeah, it is oh-so-true, isn't it?

I thought the keyboard girl was reminiscent of Shirley Feeney from LaVerne and Shirley. And I have to say that I don't think I have ever know a woman who acted smugly about her pregnancy. Women who shared about feelings of euphoria at times, yes. Others who admitted feeling as if their body had taken over and could give a damn less how they felt. Others who told about having the sensation of an alien being growing within them, and the upset at viewing their child in such a way. Excitement, exhaustion, emotional surges, extreme sensitivity to smells and sights that never were an issue before.... But smugness? Not really.

happiegrrrl wrote: you mean because of the implicit Shirley/Clausti correlation?...... no, because you take a concept that lots of people here seem to identify with and then post a rambling bit of ?counterexample? i feel like that's too strong a word.... belligerently. like you're throwing down a gauntlet and begging someone to argue with you in a thread that was just about a silly video.

Really? Hmmmm...... You didn't catch that I was being facetious? edit: with the Shirley comment, not the gauntlet throw down. That was intentional.
