Here's an update from the Carolina Climbers' Coalition.
RUMBLING BALD BOULDERS: WE BOUGHT IT!
The Carolina Climbers' Coalition now owns some of the best bouldering in NC. On January 6, 2010, the CCC closed on a host of West Side classics at Rumbling Bald. What a fantastic way to start 2010.
Of course, now have to start paying back the Access Fund. They provided us with a bridge loan of $72,000 as a part of their new Access Fund Land Conservation Campaign. We need you help. Please contribute to our SAVE THE BOULDERS fund on our website: http://carolinaclimbers.org/
2010 CCC CALENDAR PRICE DROP

RUMBLING BALD ADOPT-A-CRAG
There will be an Adopt-a-Crag at Rumbling Bald on Saturday, January 23, 2010. We'll be moving some of the downed trees in the boulderfield. Volunteers will meet at 9:00 AM at the Lake Lure community center. We will need to take as few cars as possible to Rumbling Bald in order to save parking. Trees are heavy. So please come help! SPRING MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
Speaking of Rumbling Bald, the CCC Spring Meeting will take place in Lake Lure, NC, on Saturday, February 27th. This meeting is open to the general public. So save the date on your calendar, and, heck, bring a neighbor. More details will be posted soon regarding a specific meeting time and place. Keep an eye on the CCC website for more details.
