Is Big Chief accessible now without too much hassle or is there too much snow at the moment?

Don't know yet, but it gets good sun and should burn off quickly - even after the snow we just got last night. The key question is access. This time of year you will need to hike up from Hwy 89 - the back side is still under a few feet of snow. There is a bridge you need to cross and sometimes there's a troll that chases you off. I don't believe the bridge is private property (i could be wrong), but you will have to traverse someone's property to access the trail. That's where it gets tricky. I try to be respectful, but there are some property owners that are quite Agro about your being there.
