Hi everyone, may I ask for where best to go as an individual climber? Tsarasoa, in the North or anywhere else? Also, if anyone is interested in joining me in September, please let me know. Since I will already be travelling in the region before then, I would like to economize on my luggage (since I have been working in Zambia for a year, it is already hefty). Would are the essentials to bring and what may you get locally (a rope?)? Are friends necessary? Many thanks especially for quick replies (I am off again tomorrow back to Zambia and can bring gear now)! Arne

I don't know if it's legal to climb here (I've read it's not, but that was many years ago), but no way in Hell would I travel that far and not visit this place, Tsingy:
Safe travels!

No idea, It's on my list of places to go. This year, Greenland won for my destination. Hopefully in the next year or two I'll head there. Craig Luebben did some big stuff there as did a group of dudes from the UK. I don't know if their notes are available online. Good luck and have fun.

Hi, thanks for the replies! I really look forward to it. Do you know whether there is any need to bring friends? I climb in the region up to 6c+ onceIn reply to: I get back in shape (Zambia is not a paradise for climbing). Cheers!

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on this guidebook? The link's dead and this guide would be a lifesaver. Cam
