Walk up the gully for a ways, hitch a right up on this massive slab, at the IBM boulder hitch a left up more slab, reach your destination at the headwall. This may or may not lead to some pretty sketch but easy soloing if you hitch a right too early. This approach worked for me for Rainbow Buttress.

I'm going to be depressed the day I need GPS coordinates to find something as easy as Levitation 29...

I've never been & located this by using Google Earth, & the approach listed here on rockclimbing.com.

If you do it right, it should only take you about 90 minutes, give or take.

GPS has its uses. Finding Levitation 29 isn't one of them.

I'm pretty sure my coordinates are the best place for levitation around Las Vegas... normally i'd join in the fray, but i just cant stand giving bad info about red rocks- plus in this particular instance, the GPS coordinates really arent going to help him any, as they are 1000' above the wash he'll be in and if he isnt paying attention, he'll spend 3hrs or more trying to get to the base.

I never really understood why everyone gave USnavy so much shit, until I read this thread. Now it all sort of clicks.

USNavy, forget Red Rocks--too complex. Come back down to El Potrero Chico.

marc801 wrote: USnavy wrote: Does anyone have the GPS coordinates? None of my three guidebooks have it. That would be because most guidebook authors assume that if you're rock climbing, then you 're not a total moron can't understand coordinates. Either way - no point in putting them in the book.

USNavy- No offense, but if you can't find Levitation 29 without coordinates, you should turn around and go back to Vegas.
