I'll be in Kingsport for Thanksgiving. My younger brother is really starting to get into climbing, so there's a chance he and I and a few other family members will go climbing the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving. Is there anything relatively close to the Tri-cities climbing wise? (We're probably talking 30 to 45 minutes at the most.) Trad, sport, bouldering, TR--doesn't matter. We're just looking for rock.

There are actually a few good climbing areas close to kingsport. One place I know really well is Obed just outside of knoxville. I would suggest picking up a copy of the dixie craggers guide for TN or look one over before you go.
