hahaha - you guys have given me some sort of inspiration - I don't know exactly what, but somehow involving those sorts of oversights and outright errors we often catch on climbing images and stuff that non-climbers make. But the overcammed Piece t-shirt will not be happening at this time.

Don't know if it can be illustrated on a shirt, but a play on words that's stuck in my brain is. "Free the Nose and Jorasses will follow"

Not all that exciting, but....this new design(in men's and women's white t-shirt styles) is available right now in our "Item of the Week" section, with no markup.

Missed getting any movie dvd's from the public library this week, so had my Saturday entertainment reading this entire 18-page thread non-stop. Well, stopping for laughing out loud many times. My compliments and appreciation and Thanks to especially 'happiegrrrl' and others. LL

Just remembered an old saying for pilots in training that might be modified again: "There are old climbers, and bold climbers, but no old bold climbers." That might not be a popular sentiment in this arena, however. Another thought, scrutable and agreeable to free solo climbers: Pro Tech Shun LL

Just an idea that came to mind the other day... added to the shop here: http://www.cafepress.com/climbaddict/7643209 And, for something completely different.... I'm working on a new line of chalkbags. Yep - CafePress runs blanks...umm, no. These will be made by myself. Expected launch late spring 2011. The crux will be how I will do this, since I don't have electricity. But here is a picture of my first sample:
It's not completely finished, and I know it is...a little delicate for real use. But this is my first prototype, and will be used for field testing the design as well as seeing just how long it takes to turn an offwhite bag to mud brown....kidding, sort of.

Thank you! I completed it today - here's the final pic:
Tomorrow I will hopefully climb with it and see how it works. I have a discussion going on another site, getting input on what makes a good chalkbag. Will probably ask for input here as well. And, I bought some beautiful navy fake suede, navy/blue/white paisley chintz fabric, pretty embroidery tape, and....a couple yards of beaded fringe - Next samples are on the design board!

http://www.cafepress.com/climbaddict/7997856 I think I added some other new ones since last update, but here is the newest one. Also, though it's not climbing, I will be adding this one later on, hopefully in the next few days.
The above is a picture of rock art that some people did at the Split Rock section of the Gunks. Two people spent hours choosing and placing the rocks that formed this piece sign, which was about 6 feet in diameter, and the way they fitted each stone together was really beautiful. Unfortunately it was all washed away when we had the big storm last week, but it did stay in place for several days beforehand.

Happie, Ive got a question for you. I have been looking for some t's lately and everytime I buy them they end up being shitty material that shrinks two sizes. I havent bought any from you yet but before I do, I'd like to hear from you and anyone else about the quality of the material. You have some pretty cool designs but Im getting gunshy about dropping money on internet t shirts... I like the old Hanes Beefy type material...not the new thin stretchy stuff...

Testpilot - I have personally seen some of the t-shirt styles, but not all. On Cafepress, they don't have any style that is that very thin material(which some people like, as I do myself, but can see how many people would like to have their T get thin by WEAR and not come that way!). - The Mens/Women's Dark T-s are a good medium weight material - 5.6 oz cotton. - The Light T's are also 5.6 oz cotton, but do seem to me to be just a wee bit thinner than the darker T's. Maybe this is due to the dyes used for darker colors. * - The Men's White T is the Hanes "tagless" 6.1 pz Cotton. (edited:This is the "Beefy T" from Hanes.) I need to put that T, and the Value T(which is pretty thin) back into the shop for some of the sections though. I had put those T-s in a special section as a price promotion, but not a soul EVER clicked on them, even though people specifically asked for the price ,breaks so.... now I need to move them all back. IF there is a design you would like to see in the Hanes white, just let me know, and I will put it on the top of the "To Do" list and move it back. Each of the clothing items does have a gauge showing the fabric thickness in the description, and you can also get an idea from that. Also - through CafePress, we have a 30 Day 100% Customer satisfaction policy. So, if you do make a purchase and find it doesn't meet your expectations, you can give CP a call(800 # listed on site under "Contact Us") and they will replace of refund. They tend to be very good with their CS, which is nice, and I always suggest to call if there is an issue, rather than do it via email.

Here is an idea I had for a bit. On Front: I'd rather whip on a dimpled alien On back: Black silhouette of a climber falling and a piece ripping. "Ur gonna die!"

So, whoever gave this a one-star- why is that? You don't like the concept? The text? The design? The Designer?
