As a Chicagoland guy, and always looking for better places I thought we from Chicago area could start a little chat about some pros and cons of area gyms. A personnally am a fan of Climb On in Homewood because it is close to me and not too expensive. The staff is awesome, looking to help but not intrusive, lets us do our thing... The actual gym is also nice with lots of overhangings. www.climbon.net Well, if anyone else has other good gyms, LPAC, VE... tell us why their good. Kevin

My favorite place is Upper Limits out in Bloomington. I know it's a ways away but it is definitely worth it. The gym is four grain silos converted into circular walls.

I agree with you! its got the 35' boulder/ overhanging routes, and the wave wall! not to mention the different walls of the silos that top out at a whopping 65'. and its alot closer for me than ve or any others up around chi!
