Hi there, didn't get much of a response so I figured Id ask elsewhere, and with a sexier title. I am looking to test my skills in the hard 10c to 11a range at the valley. However, my buddy and wife don't want to jug up multiple pitches (or hike terribly far) to watch me climb. SO, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a single pitch route of that grade, that is the 1st pitch. I found some good routes and after looking through my book realized that it was an individual pitch, or variation of another route. The Cookie Cliff looks cool but I had a hard time finding it last time I was there. Plus it seems like the hard routes are on pitch 2-3. I hope I am clear in what I am looking for. Thanks to any replies, Dan

Pitch one of the Salathe Wall is 10c fingers, and is one of my favorites!

Yosemite is stacked with 1 pitch routes in that grade range... the Supertopo guide may be the ticket for you. Some popular ones: Lunatic Fringe .10c Reed's pinnacle Stone Groove .10b Reeds Five and Dime, .10d Five and Dime cliff Catchy .10d Cookie Those are just a couple I've done recently... there are tons.
