There is technically no camping in the park, but are there any workarounds? Do they actually enforce this, has anyone else camped out, car camping, any free camping nearby? Any info would be great.

Honest question: why would you want to do that?

Because he hates having access to the crag.

I live about an hour away, and would like to be able to spend an evening and the next morning at the crag, rather than try to fit as many day trips in as I can. Any place I can crash nearby, or a quiet lot I can park my car to sleep in? Just looking for info.

Is there a wal-mart, casino/strip club, or all night cinema in the area?

I guess the way I see it is that there are far better better places to go, that are worth the extra drive if you are going for 2 or more days. But to each his own.

I second the point above that camping in the state forest is probably not good for promoting future access for yourself and others.
