Would anyone be able to help out? Will be visiting rumney and will be traveling solo. This being the case ill be looking for people to climb with at the crag. Is there a place to stay/camp/hostel anything which is generally where climbers stay?
Or where is the best place to stay at whilst in rumney?
Plan to be there around early July, whats the conditions like at that time?

Cheers

Early July will range from being warm and pleasant to hot and humid. Probably some rainy days, probably some bugs, but it should be pretty climbable.

Most climbers stay at the farm across the street from the main parking lot. Pretty basic camping in a field by a river, but it's $8 per night and there's picnic tables, fire rings, a porta potty and water--everything you need. The swimming hole is just up the road, and the Calm Post, with good coffee and breakfast burritos, is right there, too.

You probably won't have too much trouble finding people to climb with, either at the camp site, in the parking lot in the morning, or by walking around and scamming belays at the crags. Send me a PM closer to the time you're arriving, and I'll come join you for a few days if I'm free. Have a great trip!
