My understanding of his post is that King James has returned as a zombie and is wreaking havoc. It's all going to play out less like 'Dawn of the Dead' and more 'Ghost Busters'.

I missed it. Was Lebron's big announcement that he's now in the business of natural disasters?

My prediction - No titles for Mi-mi. Lebron is labeled as someone who can't get it done in the post season. Bosh blows out his knees. D-Wade hurts his back.

Rain falls.

The Third Millennium began in the year 2000.

We are already in Purgatory, we just don't recognize it yet. Maybe we never will continue to be blind to our condition, for the next 1000 years, when Judgement Day sends us all to our final reward.

Armageddon has already begun.

(edit to cross-out never)

On the other hand, the "Age of Aquarius" is more fun: Aquarius-Let The Sun Shine In on Youtube.

According to this article in Wikipedia,
Wikipedia wrote:
The Age of Aquarius is either the current or new age in the astrological cycle. Each astrological age is approximately 2,150 years long
...
Vera Reid sees the Age of Aquarius as that time when humankind takes control of the Earth and its own destiny as its rightful heritage

Shouldn't we be giving Ragnorrok (sp?) equal billing?

Oh I wouldn't be surprised if they won a championship.. sure these posers for the real throne arn't the greatest ever but these days in this NBA it dosn't take being the best ever.. just better than a mediocre competition.

Just look at the recent Lakers for confirmation

The Wikipedia page at Ragnarök is very dramatic.

Have a look at http://www.timelessmyths.com/norse/ragnarok.html. This guy seems to be getting a lot of enjoyment from all that.

I don't know about "equal" billing, but it more than balances the bad stuff with the good.

Do you guys get to see the program "Aftermath" on History Television?

What about the series where the Earth slows down to a halt, or the Sun's core runs out of fisionable hydrogen?

Ragnarok and Rapture are apocalyptic forebodings with no science, but these modern documentaries are speculative science.

Kinda fun, I think.

After 9-11, I observed how the American government (and its off-shoots) went crazy with the "Security" scare. I saw a lot of people trying to profile a lot of other people. They set up guard systems against everybody. Of course none of this was positive or constructive, so anybody left out could see how everybody left in, are just plain stupid.

Everybody was afraid of everybody else, and the dis-respect was driving right into your Constitution. I figured, sooner or later, all those factions are going to get more and more than serious. After all, everybody's right, right?

So my prediction was this:
By the year 2050, the USA would split into 5 or 6 countries, something like it used to be. I couldn't predict the new international boundaries, but I guess you'd have:
- Atlantic NE and Midwest
- Deep South
- South-west
- The inland Great Plains and Rocky Mountain states.
- Washington, Oregon, and Montana.
- California

I couldn't guess on the new names. For example, New York and Washington both might want "Columbia". Maybe it would depend on your new national leaders?

(Edit: because I hit "Submit" instead of "Preview")

Canada has its own zones. I live in Alberta, where we've always had a Separatist movement, although we don't get as attention as Quebec. There are folks in Northern Ontario who would love to secede from Southern Ontario, because the culture, climate, and economy are so different. Etc.

These anti-unity feelings have been going on since Confederation, and the reasons for dissent linger on and fester.

So I predict:
By the year 2050, Canada would split into 4 or 5 countries:
- The Maritime Provinces
- Quebec
- Southern Ontario
- Manitoba, with Northern Ontario, and Saskatchewan
- Alberta
- British Columbia (ha! we've already got a Columbia!)

I don't think our newer, smaller governments will be any better or worse than our current system, because our current 18-century structure is so stable that nothing will ever be allowed to fix it.

With the need for "Federalism" reduced, a lot of laws and procedures should be more comfortable. On the other hand, our economies today are so out-of-balance, that any of them might fail from the slightest pressure from outside.

Didn't finish it back in the day, be curious to re-read.
