Hello, I'm looking for recommendations on which lead course to take in Toronto: TCA: $120 for 3x2 hr lessons Joe Rockheads: $170 for 3x2.5 hr lessons True North: $150 for 2x3 hr lessons Other than the cost, is there any reason I should be choosing one locale over another? Thanks advance for your input.

Thanks advance for your input. Usually, go to the gym you usually climb at. If you frequent all 3: They're all going to teach you how to clip, not to get the rope around your leg, and how to belay a leader with a grigri. Call and ask if any cover how to use an ATC and cleaning anchors for both lower and rappel. Most don't but if someone does, it would be worth it if you ever plan on climbing outside. Otherwise, Cort at Oasis is phenomenal, and the best price is at TCA. Personally, I'm not a fan of rockheads.

worth considering where you are going to go climb afterwards: Joes and TCA will charge you to take the test, unless you did the course with them. True north will test anyone practically on the spot at no charge., Joes and TCA won't teach you how to use a tube device they aren't insured for that. true north will teach you both, you c an belay with a tube device at TN.
