The Access Fund, Climbers, and Forest Service will be holding a volunteer trail day/week this fall 2013. So far we have commited to September, actual date to be announced. The Access Fund (accessfund.org) will be bringing in their National Trail Crew to help organize and work with anyone or group who can help us out. Our goal will be to construct an access trail along the base of the Williamson Cliffs from the First to Fifth Wall. This is an ambitious project but one I feel will help resolve some of the past issues between user groups at the cliffs. greg

The Access Fund's trail crew came in this weekend and we worked on approaches around the First Wall and left side of the Second Wall. On Saturday the local Forest Service trail crew came in an we made a new parking area above the Fifth Wall with trail access to the top and bottom. We were also able to implement some rehab of soil disturbance into the closure on top between the First and Fifth Walls. My hope is that the work we've done makes it a little more obvious where to climb and where to stay out of. Thanks to Shane (archeologist) for helping out and bringing Salmon on Saturday!
