I am considering relocating to NC in the Rock Hill area and am wondering what the closest / decent rock climbing area near there?

is there ANYTHING decent - and if so - how far away from Rock Hill would it BE?

Thanks!

Where is Rock Hill? There's a Rock Hill, SC...and I think there's a Rocky hill, NC up near Brevard.

Crowders Mtn isn't far from Rock Hill. Mabye a 35-40 min drive depending on where in Rock Hill you would be. I used to travel to the recruiting station in Rock Hill. I also used to go run at Cherry park. 1 lap is 1.5 miles

Iff you are talking about Rock Hill, SC, then you would have Crowders fairly close. Withing day trip distance you would have Moores Wall (great climbing area), Pilot Mountain, Stone Mountain (slab-tackular), Ashboro (bouldering). More options for weekend trips. Linnville Gorge, New River Gorge, Looking Glass, Whitesides, Laural Knob, etc...

Not sure what there would be for after work, but for weekends there is a lot to do...
