So I'm going to have a week in Moab to climb and explore at the beginning of August. I know this is the worst possible time to come but my plans are set and coming from Florida beggars can't be choosers. What I was wondering is if its ok to night climb at big bend boulders after the heat has worn off the boulders?

I would also love to check out some of the sport areas around that are much cooler but I won't have a partner so all i can do is boulder. If there are any other areas within a couple hours that have good bouldering and aren't as hot I'd also be able to travel there.

Moab has great summer climbing in the La Sal Mtn just above town. A very popular unpublished area is Mill Creek. There are a few areas up the road also.

If you have a partner, there is lot to explore. As for the bouldering, try early starts instead; the rocks have cooled over night.
