Cass, you were a mod, and now you're a troll. Who's the real chicken here? Personally, I'm not interested in chasing away potential donors, so I changed my mind.

I've tried to donate, today and a week or two ago, and I always get an error message about technical difficulties from PayPal. Maybe the admins should sign up for an Amazon tip jar, too.

That's not good. I wonder if they changed something over at PayPal that we interface with...

I'd like to donate - but why is there $1.49 for shipping & handling and $.72 for tax added to a $10 donation. I'd rather just send you check for $12.21 than pay all those miscellaneous charges.

Of all the charitable causes, rc.com is the least deserving. How about actually putting your money towards something that could make a difference in anothers life.

first, i think this site has made positive changes in people's lives. second, if you don't think of it that way, think of it as paying for a service that you enjoy. donate 1 cent for each of your posts. that's $7.77. Excuse the hypocracy of all this but i'm a dirt poor student

Not to be too much of a jerk, but I guaran-damn-tee you that the administrative staff of rc.com takes a lot smaller cut of the proceeds than the American Red Cross or Save The Children et al. Which is to say, we don't pull in a dime. If you hate the site, that's another matter entirely, but if you enjoy the service and would like for it to improve, you could help us pay for the damn thing.

I did it twice for $35.00. It doesn't hurt that much. The nurses are friendly. If you can pony up some dough, do it. If not, no problem. But remember: you'll want to log onto this fine website later, so maybe you should think about it later, when you can pony up. Even a little. Quote:How about actually putting your money towards something that could make a difference in anothers life. Ha! like what? The access fund or something... they don't have a nifty forum and routes database I can post to. Oh, and when I'm bored with that I post some of the ugliest stupidest pictures to add to my spray-lord-ing resume. About the biggest thing I could contribute to "anothers life" right now, that would make a huge difference... I could go and fill up somebody's gas tank for them. I'm sure that would be appreciated. Andy p.s. What's the final count look like? [ This Message was edited by: andy_lemon on 2003-01-31 22:28 ]
