Yeah, I just got off a cycle of Anavar and D-Bol. I am thinking of starting one of Winstrol and Deca soon. Any recommendations on dosage? I went from a bumbly 5.6 climber before the cycle to onsighting Lucille (Vedauwoo) in October. I am thinking of free climbing Excaliber (5.12 ow on El Cap) in the spring. TRADitionally yours, Addiroids

Me too, me too!! Not allowed to MTB right now (shoulder surgery) so I just got a road bike. Love it. It's totally different, fast, smooth. And it's a good workout. Training for my first century in March - Solvang - anyone else doing that? 120 miles this weekend. I love California. Anna

I actually started climbing as training/rehab for a motocross injury. I still have a plate and 7 screws below my knee over a year later. But I love climbing so much I haven't raced since (I was told by the doctor not to do any sports at all - screw him) as i dont want to risk injury that would prevent me climbing. Even with my bad knee (I limp when i walk even) - i still enjoy climbing 3 days a week and can climb 5.11. Climbing rules.

I still train for road and MTB, still doing tri's and XTerra's. I like road riding for cardio but mostly it's great therapy, better'n a shrink. On the trails you got to pay attention or you pay the price!

I use to cycle all the time, but because of work I cannot maintain the training level I once did, so I have gained 30 lbs and just climb now. I was serious about racing which took up all of my time in college and left room for almost nothing else. I hope to get back on my road bike this spring and shed a few pounds while sitting in on a cat 3 or 4 race, but who knows. I still try to make the trip to superweek if I can each year. Chuck

I'm a new climber and have started biking to improve my general strength and endurance. yesterday I biked 20 miles to my fly fishing hole, caught a 18" Rainbow and some brookies and headed the 20 back against some strong headwinds. I had to peddle while going down a 10+ degree incline. I figure I did a tad over 50 miles and loved it, even the agonizing last 20. Some of you guys mentioned that you find mountain biking scary. I get freeked much easer on lead than I do on a crazy steep trail on the 'SHORE' I don't get it. Fall all well protected sport route- Nothing happens Fall on well protected trad route-nothing happens Hit a tree @ 50km per hour- You broke somthing Crash in a rock garden-You broke more stuff Mess up a very steep dropping trail- Don't move unless the EMT tells you to. I think I'm mixed up. I need to climb more Any one want to buy my Bike???

I love to Cycle. I do a little bit of mountain biking, but mostly road. It's the best to get out early in the morning just as the sun is comming up spinning down a country road. IT'S GREAT!!!

I used to cycle more than I currently do since moving two years ago and am trying to get back into it. I just trail ride...nothing fantastic... Cycling of any kind, aerobics and crosscountry skiing (which I do sometimes) are all cross-training for climbing and help keep muscles from getting overused in just one activity(so I was told years ago)...seems to work if one is consistent at it

I mtn bike and sometimes I still pull my dusty road bike out for a ride. It is great cross training when I get tired of running on the trails. In fact before I started to climb I was a heavy biker, I used to race and I have done a century of ceturies. John

Bike to work a couple times a week 11 miles each way and longer weekend trips. Tried mountain biking for the first time a couple three weeks a go and realized why MTBs have shocks. My hybrid doesn't...ouch! So here is a question/plan anyone wanna bike out to JTree/Taqhuitz from L.A. and climb something and then come back. Not up to Goran Kropp standards, but my own small way of testing limits. I am not even sure of the bike route to take from greater LA, but it would be an adventure. later Miker

Oh yeah, Fat tire, skinny tire, I've got one of each. I love trail running and hiking too. The real cross-training sport for climbers should be YOGA, though. I try to practice daily, and I've never found another exercise that improves my strength and flexibility better.

I still ride mtb alot. only raced them once. but was a wera and ama motorcyle racer for a few years , thats what i got too old for. i hurts when you fall off at over 100 mph, climbing is a little safer.
