i'm not sure whether it is posted elsewhere, but it should be posted here. sunset is officially closed to all climbing unless you have obtained a group permit from conservation halton (or you have liability insurance - in which case you still need to get a permit). apparently there are signs up now, but i haven't been to see myself.

"NO ROCK CLIMBING
REGISTERED GROUP PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY
If you are a registered climbing group and would like to obtain a permit
contact Conservation Halton (905) 336-1158 Ext. 239
ALL UNAUTHORIZED CLIMBERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $70 FINE
REGULATION ENFORCED UNDER THE CONSERVATION AUTHORITY ACT,
THE TRESSPASS TO PROPERTY ACT AND APPLICABLE MUNICIPLE

For me this isn't over yet. I'm looking into options. At the very least I'm writting a letter. I'll post more details when I've completed the letter.
