i'm not from canmore, but i was there this spring taking a yam semester. i wish i could've spent more time climbing after it was done. the rock seemed pretty good in some places, but really loose in others. the rockies in general is pretty chossy. but is still amazing nonetheless. we hit grassi lakes, cougar canyon, back of the lake, and multipitches all in the bow valley area.

Bow Valley is Mecca! I try to get out every summer. Back of the lake is outstanding but you have to get there early in the morning (tourists and long lineups).

hey you chumps. For single pitch the back of the lake is world class rock quality. The deal with line ups...HELLO... Good things come to those who wait. As for the bow valley what a buddhaful area.
