I am a climber in a town of non-climbers in Indiana, I am lookin forward to this season in RRG and would like to partner up w/ any willing climbers. I climb around 5.9- 5.10 well. I am hoping to break into some trad climbing this summer, anyone up for some ugly attempts at it are more than welcome to give me a hollar!Chris-Muncie Indiana chris_rennaker@hotmail.com

Try getting on http://www.redriverclimbing.com to look for a partner. We have people from all over on that board, so you might have better luck. M@

It's not RRG, but there's rumor of some climbing near Bloomington. If you know anybody at IU, they might be able to help you find some beta. Perhaps you could take a short day-trip to Bloomington if you can't find anybody going to RRG soon. I suppose you could always head to Miguel's and just chill around the campfire for a night and ask around for partners. Plenty of people just "show up" and join climbing parties down there. Dude, I would say that muncie is a stinky hole in the earth, but if it were a hole, at least you'd have something to climb out of...Having lived there for 2 years of my life, on campus, but not as a BSU student, I can say that you have my most heart-felt pity.

If you still can't find a partner just head on down to the RRG. You'll meet alot of people at Miguel's that wouldn't mind having you tag along. I'm usually down there every weekend and I climb with different people all the time when my group from UK can't go. Hope to see you there. Sarah

I should be at the Red from Fri. evening (May 9) until Sat. afternoon. I may be in need of a partner-I haven't heard if anybody from my group is wanting to go down or not. Even if they do go you can climb with us if you want. I climb around 5.9 (TR) and I'm wanting to lead a nice 5.7 this weekend. So if you still need a partner let me know. Sarah

Greenspace... check your PM's! I wouldn't mind coming down, but the weather forecast looks pretty nasty. I'm dying to get on some real rock though.

It's supposed to rain all week, and if it's anything like it was today then it'll be bad. But I'm hoping it will clear up by saturday. You never know with the weather here. Oh, and greenspace, I sent you a PM too. If you need to know what I look like there's a pic on my profile now. Sarah

Like they said, All you have to do is go to Miguels and ask around. The other thing you can do is go to a crag like roadside, military, or left flank and ask people if you can join them. I couldn't tell you how many times I have had some one ask me if they could tag along and I always say yes. I will be there from the 9th to the 16th so if you come down just find me at miguels and you can climb with us. It doesn't matter if its raining there is always something overhanging to climb. I may just be really hard. Maybe I'll see ya around. To find me its easy. I will be the tallest person at miguels.

My plans are to go down Fri. afternoon when I'm finished with my last final and hopefully do some climbing then. Are any of you planning on going down friday? I'm not sure if I'll have a partner for then or not, but I'll keep trying to find one. Either that or I'll meet up with someone there. Then I'll climb for about an hour or two saturday morning and head out by noon to see the grandparents  Sarah
