Precious, Precious Bodily Fluids

I recently heard that flourinated water was part of a grand Commie conspiracy to corrupt our precioius bodily fluids. Therefore, I reccomend for peak performance, drinking only rainwater, distilled water, or pure grain alcohol. Please respond if you have more information on this vile plot.

Well, given that I grew up in Grand Rapids Michigan (the first city to Fouridate it's water supply) I think you were severely misinformed.

It's fine, it's healthy, and it will only affect one part of your body, your Teeth. And less trips to the dentist is a good thing.

Freaking out over artificial Fouride in your water is like getting upset about Iodine in your Salt, or Vitamin D in your milk.

I blame the existence of my teeth on the flouride my mom put in the water when I was growing up, because the brushing sure isn't done often enough to keep them in there. :D

I recall recently seeing a report on TV about the fact that fluoride is indeed working but dentists are seeing a lot more kids present with badly decaying teeth. They then went on to explain that kids are drinking a lot of sports drinks and that is what is trashing their teeth.

It is in your beer--the beer plant doesn't use distilled water, but rather TAP WATER. The fluorine IS STILL THERE. The commies are devious types, don't underestimate them.

flouride IS poison to the human body...just read the back of your tube of toothpaste - "if you swallow more than the amount used for brushing, contact a poison control center immediately." flouridating the water supply is foolish, unnecesary, and bad for you! flouride may be good for your tooth ENAMEL, but is extremely unhealthful when ingested. there currently is a big controversy in Ventura, CA ( my home ) about flouridating the water supply...if they want to do it to the water in your town, fight the system!!!!! don't allow your *#@!ed up govt. do it!!

Justin,

While it is true that you should not eat a tube of toothpaste, the amount of flouride in drinking water is beneficial rather than detrimental, particularly for children's teeth. Saying that "flouride" is harmful by itself is nonsensical.

Sodium is a metal that bursts into flame in the presence of oxygen and chlorine is a poison gas used by the Germans in WWI. None the less when you put them together you get ordinary table salt.

distilled water is actually poisonous. i think that the deadly dose is about 3dl, that about one small coke can. it washes all electrolites from your body cousing hear and breathing disorder.

antidote: salt sollution orally, in acute cases IV

Have you been feeling any profound sense of fatigue?

What about discharge of essence? Remember, Purity of Essence is the key for your continued health..

After consultation with General Turgidson, Dr Strangleove & I both feel that you should confine yourself to the consumption of distilled rain water and grain alcohol only.

Dude, have you thought about how rainwater is collected? It runs off the roof of your house into a water tank, where it sits untreated for months.

Sounds to me like the story you heard is part of a conspiracy to get you to drink birdcrap, dead bugs/rats and miscellaneous pollution etc. :?

ALL substances have the capacity to be toxic, if taken in too large of amounts.

EVERYTHING.

I have not heard or read of the above statement... one coke can of distilled water? Perhaps, but I doubt it.

P.S. Overlord... where did you find that poem in your sig line? I like it, and would like to read the rest, if there is anymore.

Overlord, what's that about the size of a small coke can? Drinking a coke-can-sized amount of distilled water is not deadly. Maybe I misunderstood. However, you are right that water can be a poison. In fact people have died of overdosing on water. The LD-50 dose of distilled water, I would imagine, to be somewhere on the order of 2 to 4 gallons (8-15 liters). When certain electrolytes become too dilluted, stuff goes wrong.
