Just contacted Angeles National Forest. HWY 2 is closed (somewhere called Islip Saddle(?)) in sections which means Williamson is not accessible from the Wrightwood side. Road is going to be closed until mid to late June
If you need further info or updates, this is the number I contacted.

I emailed CalTrans regarding the closure of Hwy 2 east of Williamson, and I received a reply today. They do not know exactly when the road will be re-opened, but their best guess is "mid-summer." They are blaming the delay on extensive damage to the road and unspecified problems with a contractor.
