Man, I wish I was some kinda girl power person or I'd do it for you . . .

Heck with it . . . what kind of design do you guys want? A logo or a cartoon drawing? I'll just do a design, post it to 99dogs.com and you guys can order at will.

You can always just upload something to Cafepress. Just got a T-shirt from there and it was OK. They print the shirts as the orders come in. No overstock.

Same thing as 99dogs, Tim. I'm a fan of the dogs site as I did a "Nice Rack" shirt and it was really reasonable, full color.

Cool. I knew there were several out there. Is there still a link up to that shirt?

No link, since I wanted to keep it as my own. I'm sure I've got the graphic somewhere. I just stylized a Petzl Spirit and wrote: Nice Rack across it. :)

I never got anything back from the girl about the art, and it was too expensive to do it up in a traditional "order a pile of shirts n sell em", way.

Maybe the cafe press/99 dogs stuff is the best way to go. I don;t know, but probably you can order the art on any style shirt you want from them. Maculated has been wanting to do something with this for a long time, why not have at it mac?

Dealing with CafePress is very easy and everyone can get the size they want, although colors are limited to white and grey. It won't cost you anything to set it up and you can either build in a profit or not as you choose.

Mac, I was thinking like a cartoon drawing cause then we can make the hair really yellow and everything but we could even use a pic of one of us "dirt barbies." There is my two cents.

X-Cali,

Good, good . . . more input. Should she be jamming a crack? Just sitting there with a bunch of stuff?

Should she LOOK like Barbie, or stylized?

Check out this site. A friend of mine does motorcycle T's for women (racers, NOT HARLEY riders). A couple of cool T's here.
If there is enough interest, I could ask her what it would cost to fire up a screen.

In reply to:
I disagree with the reference to one particular RC.com user. Nothing personal here, but this is about ALL the Dirt Barbies on the website, and I think that's sufficient.

There are lots of other ways to suggest women "climb something" without making it a permanent shrine to a fellow member. Yosemite uses "Go Climb a Rock."

This is a unique concept, I'd say keep it that way. We're talking BARBIE, here, how about something goofy like "Big Rack, Big Rock."

If you want to include ANY user's name, might want to include the man who coined the phrase, mtngeo (dirtineye just walked with it). Put a little Mr. Potatohead somewhere on the T (geo, you know we love you! )

God you have an attitude woman.

What is your problem?

I "walked wiith it"? Gimme a break, I suggested a Tshirt. Barbie is trade marked by the way.
As for it being about all the girls, if you ahve not noticed, many girls do not possess a "big rack", so how does that little pun include em all?

About climb something, the original poster about that used two words, not the name of a user. Your complaint is like saying nobody can talk about windows without asking Bill Gates. Again what an attitude.

let's keep this civil.....hence no mud slinging. this is suppose to be a cool thing happening. so people chill!!!

personally i think that we should have an image of a cartoon chick with a tat, nice rack (not as in tits) , jamming a crack, with a cam in her teeth, dripping sweat, some cuts and scrapes on the knees.

Let's just compile a list of sayings and vote or something.....or if we can personalized them individually then you can have whatever you want as the saying with the same graphic.

I would chose......"Grace Under Pressure" or something.

Let's work T-O-G-E-T-H-E-R! :D

I was climbing with a friend of mine and at the base of the route was a family of campers. After climbing through a rather thin section she got to the larger holds at the top.

"I LOVE BIG JUGS" she exclaimed.

Seven surprised faces gaped up at her, and the Mom said, "Did she say what I thought she said?" We all busted up laughing...

Anyone down for I love big jugs?

How 'bout just "Dirt Barbie" and the logo. Then no one will feel like their style, bra size, or username is being excluded, and it will only be offensive to people who think that Barbie is evil. Barbie may be trademarked, but I doubt Matel will be hunting a group of about 20-30 women down and suing us over our T-shirts...especially if no profit was generated.

just another possibility... I've had success with artapart.com in the past.. wide variety of styles, colors, etc.. and I got my shirts in about 10 days after I ordered. I don't know how it compares to cafepress, etc.. but figured I'd mention it as a possibility... I wanna say it was like $25 for two shirts, shipping included.. You just upload your image, pick your shirt, and that's it..

as for slogans, etc.. to go with the logo.. a couple of ideas:

1. Climbing Rocks
2. A Woman's Place Isn't In the Kitchen
3. Chicks Climb Too

I used the same logo on my two shirts, but had different slogans on the back. they turned out great.. I still get chuckles at my "My Belayer is Cuter Than Your Belayer" t-shirt at comps, etc..

I guess I wasn't bugged by the rack idea, but I'd rather not have a shirt that makes a value judgement on a woman's choice to be in or out of the kitchen. "Chicks climb too" bugs me in the way that it bugs me when I see that men play basketball whereas women play women's basketball. We climb. Not too. Not in relation to men. We just climb.

Uh, how about if I just have a back shot of a barbie and all you sensitive gals won't have to worry about the size of the rack? :)

It's a joke, btw, a pun. Big Jugs, Rack, it's FUNNY!!

But yeah, I'll probably just do drawing, and then use the Barbie font and run a cartoon 'dirt' in front.

I've been looking at photos on RC for inspiration, but not finding any good ones. Want to point me to some good poses?
