Thought you PA climbers might be interested in this. I just got back from the Access Fund's annual summit out West and was thrilled to see that PA was listed in the top ten states for having the most climbing spots. It was the only state in the east to make the top ten. Obviously NH and NC have bigger higher cliffs, but PA just has a ton of small boulder high outcrops. Cool to see PA nationally recognized ~Rob H

That seems odd. There seems to be a lot more crags in many of the other eastern states. West Virginia for example has more Rock than Just about any other state on the East Coast. Certainly alot more than PA. I quess they forgot about Tennessee also. I have only climbed in PA a coulpe of times so I could be wrong. It would not be the first time. A.

Thats awesome to know PA is making her state known nation wide. Let's keep PA clean and beautiful as we climb at our local crags, Chris

Although West Virginia does have a good bit of rock. PA has a ton more. The database on this site only lists a small fraction (121 areas) of the areas PA has to offer. We even have New River Gorge esque sport areas if you know where to look. ~Rob
