The chains right of 3 billy goats are set for a steep route that hasn't yet been bolted. We have worked the bottom a little bit, but haven't been able to clean much. If anyone wants to put up the route, they should feel free to do so.

Drywood is notoriously cold on the hands. It can be 20' out and feel like 5' in drywood. It is always in the shade in spring and fall. However, the lack of people and having the joint to yourself on any given day makes up for the cold. Cheers

I think is probably goes at a mid 11. There are a few loose blocks near the bottom. Cleaning will probably be comparable to putting up routes at the meathooks area of Grassi Lakes. The climbing here can be cold, but if the weather is nice, this is a fabulous valley. The trick to staying warm is to sleep in and not get started till 11:00 or so (tough I know). By this time the rock has usually warmed up quite nicely. If the weather is bad here, Bear's Hump has a season similar if not longer than Yam. Although there are no really tough routes up the hump, the 5.8 Cusak's crack is a classic.
