Do you prefer to have a training area (45 wall/system wall/campus area) in the same area as the main gym or do you prefer to have this area a little more secluded (away from all of the noise in the gym) for focus sake?

i really dont care. wherever theres place. but if the gym is WERY noisy (like kids running around and stuff) it would be nice to be a little secluded. but if its not, all the cute climbing chicks can watch you work out 8)

I think it's important to have maximum focus when training hard. Therefore, in my opinion, system walls and campus boards are best located slightly away from the noisiest and busiest parts of a gym. For example, at Pacific Edge Climbing Gym in Santa Cruz, CA, the system wall and hangboard setups are located in the weight-lifting room area, away from the main floor of the climbing gym. However, I think such training tools as hangboards and campus boards ought to always be within a 30-second walk from the bouldering walls so it's possible, for those who would like to, to engage in complex training. (If you have no idea what complex training is, you might want to try doing a forum search on it.) Train hard, climb hard, and have a blast doing it! :D
