Ericka, when do you get to climb? It seems like everytime someone has a gathering you have to work... and at the last minute. :( Sorry to hear about that.

In reply to: "Brad, I'm in and thats no drunk talk" Can I hitch a ride? I get off work in Oshkosh at 4 and can come down to milwaukee asap. And here I just thought it was drunk talk. You know.. between trying to pull a huge dead tree down with webbing, and watching people get tossed off like rag dolls. Personally, I don't care who comes down to the Red that weekend.. the more the merrier. But, I'm not really sure who's driving, or even if I have room in my car. I should know more next week sometime. Either way, I'm still planning on making the trip..

Holy crap!!!!! Who are all these peeps? I haven't been paying attention, really, just to those whose names I know. Ericka, I stopped by the Orland Park store to pick up the Solitude from Scott. Our store is better. Josiah, hey I still have your sleeping bag and when are you going climbing next? I'll be at VE tomorrow (Wed.) night, if you can make it. Greenspace, yo. Sportster, yo. I miss both yous guys. Um, yeah. Enjoy the thread and hope everyone makes it the biggest s--t here, but don't turn it into Midwest chat, please. Let's just stick to goings ons about trips and meetings for climbs and post-climbing trip talk. Laters guys.

Here is the wrap up of my RRG trip, for all those who care to read. We arrived at Miguel's around 2:30 afternoon KY time and got 2 full climbs in. It was 60 and sunny at Left Flank. Tuesday was nice as well, but with a bit of an overcast and some wind. Glenn and I got in about 4 climbs that day. We spent about 20 minutes looking for a climb because the guide is 5 years old and many other routes have been established since. Roadside Crag was a pleasant surprise. Wednesday was nice and humid until 2:30P; that's when the rain started. It was like a giant waterfall. I found out my jacket is very waterproof but my hair isn't. The rain lasted well into the late night, then the weather got very windy and cold. Thursday had me and Glenn huddling in Miguel's until it warmed up to 43. We then headed to Phantasia and attenpted to climb a new route left of Lord of the Flies. The windy bit down hard and our fingers and toes went numb; the climb went horrible because we couldn't get a good feel for the rock and nubs. We then went home. Ok, bye bye.

Hey there guys! As of now, I am planning a trip over the winter. I am open to suggestions though I am biased to the South i.e. Texas, Alabama, Atlanta, Arkansas, etc. I was wondering if anyone would like to come with and where would you want to go? I plan on going during winter break so that Greenspace and Sportster can get off their lazy a**es and go climbing. Just kidding, you the men. Anyways, where to? How long (1 week's worth of climbing is ideal for me)? Greenspace and Sportster and Organic are required to go (Orgo, I still have your bag). Have fun with this and no, Greenspace, I didn't get any pork loin sandwiches the size of my face; I struck out again. Laters.

I think I go back to school Jan. 12th so that is the lastest I can stay out!!! Sorry guys. Other than that I will keep you all updated on what is going on, plus if we get a lot of people we are going to either need a big van or take two cars, so lets figure that out. Southern Illinois was kind of crazy some crazy stuff happened and I am a little sketched about sport climbing some harder stuff. But i will get over it. It was beautiful though like a climbing paradise waterfalls and fog in the morning, wow!!

Hey mowz (i figured out who you are...) that climb is called Overlord and supposedly it's 10b, so don't feel too bad, you did well. Thanks again for letting us tag along. We wound up doing that route again and then doing Lord of the Flies and looking long and hard at that nice trad line inside the dihedral with the huge roof to the left of Overlord... didn't do it... too cold and getting dark. Left the following day to meet some folks @ Pilot Mtn. in NC. Glad to hear you made it home. Nice meeting you guys. If your ever out this way, holla. Todd
