A big thanks to the Kings Bluff Locals!! My wife and I were amazed by the outgoing kindness of the Kings Bluff Locals. From Shankle sending us a guide in the mail to everyone being really cool on the Sunday we arrived. You folks have the be the nicest locals of any crag. We had an absolute blast during our 3 short climbing days at the "Bluff". Shank- Let Paul know that I thought "Daddy's Bolt Ladder" was rad! I barely got the On-Sight. I climbed up and down the bulge at 3/4's height several times...you just can't see that next hold. Finally I threw a hand up and got lucky to snag it. It's hard to guess a rating on an on-sight but 11A seems like a pretty good guess to me. We mainly had fun climbing the moderates but at the end of our last day I tried Pulsator and snagged the on-sight. What a rad little climb!!!

All in all I was really impressed with the place! I had a great time...although it was a bit cold after Sunday.

I On-Sighted the following routes:
Beginner's Luck
Demolition Zone
Dip in the River
Chimney Sweep
Sportin' Doylies
Seismic Activity
Learning to Craw
Ian's Playground
Thomas the Train
Little Fox
Independence Day
Bob the Builder
Captain Hook
Pop Off
Juraassic Racoon
New Purchase
Hammer Time
Beam Me UpScotty

The Bearded One "Hard Reach from the JUG!!! 10a???"

Anchors Away
Baby Kangaroo "Good"
Shorty Doylies
Poison Ivy
Rambo Strikes Back
Hat Pin with a Sledge Hammer

LAG "Rad"

No Expectations

Open Book of Wisdom- "This route is Chossy!!"

Hit Sequel

Ritz Bitz- "Rad!"

Daddy's Bolt Ladder "Really good but a blind and tricky Read at 3/4's Height"

Pulsator "Short but Rad!"

Glad you had a good time. That place is great and so are the people. That is why I took such a liking to it after climbing there this summer. I just went back, and back, back again... I loved it.

Shanks a cool guy too. Have you ever heard such a strong soutern dialect?

Come back to visit soon.

Andy

eh mate, the schools around and abooot here are the same as ur's. They craft our language into a strong Nor"t"ern dialect. Don't you get it man? The government is trying to program our minds and we are all Lennon's kids...
