Although I have not bouldered in Squamish, I do know that there is some good bouldering somewhere near the base of the Chief. Hope this helps

Yes there is bouldering in Squamish, and much of it is at the base of The Chief , and it is covered in the guide book Squamish Select (Elaho Press) which should you be able to purchase at MEC. Jeff P.S. The bouldering grades, like the mountain biking can be a little stiff and hairball (they've got the only 42ft tall boulder problem I've ever seen).

krustyklimber is correct. There are a lifetime of problems(well maybe a dog's life) at the base of the Chief on the 99 highway in Squamish. Everything from V0-V13. Now for some sleazy self promotion. It may not be much but for a start goto http://www.sickhard.com ps: The Squamish Select was published under Quickdraw Publications out of Squamish Elaho has many guide books under its umbrella but not this one. thank you pps: Look for the 2 new guide books coming out in the Spring on bouldering in Squamish. Dave, Cool, I knew you would be along soon to sort this out . Thank you for fixing the publisher thing, I knew the name but the publisher was a guess. It's about the only B.C. guide book I don't have (but I should get it just so I can find my way through the maze of boulderers trails, for a big wall, within earshot of the parking lot, it is sure hard to find The Chief). Jeff

No prob at all:) And a correction on the new guides I posted. I got word today that the guide from Quickdraw Publications will be out in the Fall to allow for all the new route development going on to be finished and make for a more precise guide.
