Can anyone recommend any companies for personal health insurance for climbers? I am over here for 8 months but the company that my work got as my travel insurance provider don't cover rock climbing. So I need to get some cover quick and preferably cheaply. Any recommendations? Cheers, DanielB

The Fortis Company insured me short-term once for climbing. The coverage was limited to 6 months. Don't remember the cost, though. I believe that they are owned by John Alden or some group like that, can't remember. -Kate.

I think he is saying he has all the other coverage through his health insurance already, but wants something incase he blows it climbing during the next 8 months...right?

In reply to: I think he is saying he has all the other coverage through his health insurance already, but wants something incase he blows it climbing during the next 8 months...right? Correct, the only thing I am not covered for at the moment that I want to be doing is climbing. For health insurance that I did not pay for (The company did) I'm not to bothered but I'd rather be covered for climbing 'just in case' Daniel
