OKTC,
I would advise climbing in secluded non guidebooked areas and thereby avoiding the folks you are referring to.
If that is not possible, then get thee to the far end of crag, the part where the guide book ends, or where it is too far for most doofs to walk.
Barring that, go to crags where ratings are very low compared to modern grade inflated climbing areas. Doofs want to think they are 5.10 climbers, and don't enjoy being humbled by old school 5.8 bizzaro non gym wall-like climbs.
I doubt you will meet anyone you consider 'worthy' of a tattoo if yo utake any of this advice.
