-NEW post for 2005-. Hello billings rock climbers, now that it is getting nice outside I thought I would post a message regarding the “climbing club”. Last year we planed a specific day of the week where anyone could show up and climb. It was designed so that people could bring their friends and get them exposed to climbing or just to hang out and climb with new people, maybe get on some new routes that you haven’t climbed before or even knew about. We will set up multiple routes so that everyone can climb and get involved. this year we are going to meet every thursday evening at gregory hills at 6:00. starting the first week in June (do to bad weather). its free and open to anyone who wants to show up. if you have any questions give Chris or Jim a call at SteepWorld (406-252-5462) side note the Billings Dirt Fest (climbing competition) will be held June 12th at Zimmerman Park. once again call steepworld with questions.

word up. climbing 'club' sounds good, anytime, will just get that time off from work. lets make sure it's a consistant thing though. last year got abit lame when only crimperx and i would show up week after week. a good sized group enjoying some carbonated beverages after climbing is bad ass.

hey, woodee. if you're looking to meet some people and get some info on the weekly meeting stuff, you should try to go to the billings dirt fest. it's a comp at zimmerman park. you wouldn't have to compete if you didn't want to but it's a low pressure deal anyway. if you went just to hang you would meet a bunch of people and scope abunch of lines. maybe see you there.

Wondering if the meetings for climbing are still going on. I'm from Billings, and pretty new to climbing. Just looking to meet some new people and have a good time. and Holy Lord that sounds like one of those Personals Ads.

I was there the past 2 Thursdays and didn't see anyone. Seems like the "club" has fizzled out. Meeting others in Blgs can be very frustrating which is why I invested in a Soloist. Good luck!

Resurrecting an old message thread to see if anyone in Billings, Montana still cares about climbing. Hope to see some instructors and casual climbers replying to this message thread.
