A few of us are working on making that lame logging road of a hike in, into a single track. The last two seasons we have been lining the road with rocks, trying to make it into a trail. If you have a few minutes, add a few more rocks to the sides of the trail, eventually it will be nicer for all of us!
Also, please don't camp in the parking lot!! The Forest Sevice doesn't like it.
